Couvent des Jacobins welcomes the Nemtanu Sisters and opera singer Béatrice Uria-Monzon to celebrate Saint-Émilion's 20 years of UNESCO World Heritage

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Status of Saint-Émilion, Couvent des Jacobins, Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion, will welcome in its walls an exceptional musical program in July 2019.

'Summer in music' will start on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at 8.30pm with the highly talented duo of violinists Deborah Nemtanu and her sister Sarah Nemtanu . These two renowned violinists will delight the audience with duos over pieces by Bach, Bartók, Giovanni Battista Viotti and Serguei Prokofiev.

Couvent des Jacobins is equally thrilled to welcome Béatrice Uria-Monzon, the world-renowned Mezzo-Soprano, for the opening concert of the Festival Les Grands Crus Musicaux on Tuesday July 9 July 2019. Accompanied on the piano by Nathalie Steinberg, chef de chant et professor at Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, the two artists have created a unique program around 'perfumes of Spain', with pieces for voice and piano by Garcia Lorca, Granados, Turina et de Falla.

The two concerts will take place open air in the rose garden of Couvent des Jacobins. Wines of Couvent des Jacobins will be tasted after the performances.
