James Suckling Tastes Couvent des Jacobins and Calicem 2015
James Suckling tasted vintage 2015 of Couvent des Jacobins with a rating of 93/100 and the following tasting notes : 'Blackberry and liquorice aromas with lots of grapey undertones. Medium to full body, chewy tannins and a mineral finish. A fresh and intense finish. Needs two or three years to soften'.
Mr. Suckling also tasted and rated the 2015 vintage of CALICEM, our first vintage, 93/100, with the following tasting notes: 'Wonderful nose of dark berries, walnuts and dark tea, which follows through to a full body. Chewy and powerful tannins and a long, flavorful finish. A little old school with the high extraction, but should come around nicely. Drink 2021'.
