Couvent enters its third year of official Organic Farming Conversion
May 11, 2019. Year 2019 will be the third year
and final year of the conversion process into organic farming at Couvent des
Jacobins. The domaine remains highly committed to this important long-term
environment initiative. Our team of vignerons worked around the clock in 2018
following the emergence of the mildew in the spring and managed, in those
difficult conditions, to obtain beautiful and ripe berries. We are now thinking
beyond the organic certification, and are currently working on a number of
structural initiatives to promote the biodiversity within the estate and strengthen
the balance between the fauna, flora and the vines at Couvent.
