Couvent is slightly ore half way through the 2020 harvest. 

Today September 18, 2020, we finished the harvest of the merlot grapes throughout the domaine. Juicy, dense, but keeping this hint of freshness and energy that characterizes our wines. We are looking for optimal ripeness in 2020, a not-so-easy feat given the drought and very sunny conditions that have reduced the juice levels and thickened the skins. The rendering in the vats is very promising - a beautiful, dense color and silky tannins. 

The harvest of the cabernet franc is taking place next week, followed by that of the petit verdot in the Northeast Plateau.
