July 26, 2018. Couvent des Jacobins was honored to welcome on the 26th of July 2018 two wonderful artists, French pianist François-René Duchâble and Belgian actor Alain Carré, for the closing concert of the 2018 edition of the classical music festival Les Grands Crus Musicaux. The concert retraced the written correspondences between Fréderic Chopin and Franz Liszt, who admired each other. Alain Carré narrated the correspondences with François-René Duchâble accompanying at the piano. Scores included the Polonaise op.53 in la bémol majeur (Héroïque), the Nocturne op. 15 n°2 in Fa# majeur, and the third Scherzo op.39 in ut# mineur by Chopin; the 'Etude Appassionata n°10 in fa mineur, 'Un bal (extract from the Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Berlioz), and 'La Campanella' by Liszt. A very serene summer moment, concluded by vintage 2012 of Couvent des Jacobins, and vintage 2011 of Menut des Jacobins.
